Mr Pasquale Giordano is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon with a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and proctological disorders. He was the first surgeon to introduce the THD technique into the UK in 2002 and is currently the most experienced THD surgeon in the UK.
He qualified in Medicine from the University of Naples, Italy in 1990. After finishing his specialist surgical training in Italy in 1995, he moved to the UK to pursue further higher surgical training. His colorectal training includes a Fellowship at the Department of Colorectal Surgery of the Cleveland Clinic, Florida, and a Senior Colorectal Fellowship at the Centre for Academic Surgery, the Royal London Hospital. In 2002 he was appointed a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Academic Surgery the Royal London Hospital. Since 2004, he has been working as a Consultant Surgeon at Whipps Cross University Hospital and he is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Barts and the London Medical School, Queen Mary University of London. |
During the last few years, he has concentrated on the development and application of new treatment modalities for common coloproctological conditions, including haemorrhoids. He has written a number of scientific papers and publications on the subject and has given numerous invited lectures on the subject.
He is an educational supervisor at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is actively involved in appointing, educating and training future surgeons. He is Course Director of the only THD training course currently available in the UK, where many surgeons from the UK and overseas have been trained.

Mr Stefano Michele Andreani is a Colorectal Consultant Surgeon at Whipps Cross University Hospital since 2007.
Mr Andreani has a special interest in advanced minimally invasive surgery (key-hole), inflammatory bowel disease and treatment of proctological disease. He is also the lead for enhanced recovery program after major surgery.
In 1991 He qualified in Medicine from the University of Milan, Italy where He also trained as a general surgeon. Mr Andreani completed his general surgical training in UK including the laparoscopic fellowship position at the MATTU centre with Prof. Rockall.
Mr Andreani works closely with Mr Giordano and has now acquired a vast experience in THD. He is also a permanent faculty member of the only UK based THD training course recognised by the Royal College of Surgeons.
